TangoRide is designed to provide a fair system, so both passenger and driver share the cost of the actual journey. The cost of the journey is primarily the sum of the vehicle running costs, not the drivers time or their business, like some other apps. TangoRide only receives a small service fee per trip.
This example is a journey from Milton Keynes (city) to Birmingham (city)*
70 miles approx
£20 - 40
Sure, you probably feel there is some kind of trick, if it is this easy, why isn't everyone doing it?
Well, carpooling isn't new, TangoRide has just approached it in a smarter way to benefit the passenger and driver using the TangoRide app.
TangoRide does not generate an income for the driver unlike other services such as private hire, taxi, or public transport. It just allows the driver to offset the cost of their journey while providing a similar service to passengers.
Sure, we have running costs, but this is all taken care of in a small fee per trip. This fee allows us to administer the service as well as fulfilling the monetary transaction in a secure and timely fashion.
If we look at the real-world example at the top of the page, you will quickly see who gets what and that
TangoRide journeys are significantly cheaper.
